Great show, but I am of the camp that really hopes the 3-d gimmick does away soon. In my opinion when I am watching 3-d I am only watching it for about 30 min, then I stop being wowed by things flying at my face and I am just watching a movie. Dont get me wrong it was fun when I was a kid when they would play Creature from the black lagoon and you had to go and buy the glasses from 7-11 with a big gulp.
I saw Clash of the Titans in 2-D and did not feel I was missing out on anything. I say please stop all the 3-d, it just seems so Superfluous.

I am just old enough to remember the early 80s 3D minicraze (even saw one of 'em in theatres).
What's even better is that in the 80s, a Toronto TV station would show 3D movies from time to time. You'd buy your glasses from a local convenience store (yay, Beckers!) and sit down on Halloween night and wonder what the hell was the big deal about Bwana Devil. Although, I do recall seeing CFTBL and House of Wax this way too.
As for modern day 3D - I only saw Avater, and only in early March (not a lot of babysitting offers from the grandparents these days). I'm happy I saw it, and I appreciate it as a technical achievement but I don't think I'd see it again.
My wife felt reallty dizzy afterwards (she wears glasses/contacts, I do not) - so there was really no way she could Avatar & Drive.
I think this will be a phase - or people will really only go see movies with 'good' 3D.
Kind of like how subpar animation studios always struggled as compared to Disney and later Pixar.

Although, I do recall seeing CFTBL and House of Wax this way too. I remember the eighties fad, too. The highlight was seeing House of Wax on the big screen in the correct polarized glasses format. Not the red and blue glasses! I also saw a 3D Italian rip-off of Indiana Jones called Treasure of the Four Crowns starring a guy called Tony Anthony, a young Molly Ringwald in Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone, and Jaws 3D. I saw the Jaws 3D with a friend and his family. We had to drive home very slowly because my friend's mom felt "seasick" and was afraid of throwing up. Unfortunately, I had to sit next to her the whole ride, bracing myself with every bump! A local TV station showed Revenge of the Creature and you had to get the red and blue glasses at a convience store called Wawa (the Pennsylvania crowd know it). That was a bit of a disappointment. However, House of Wax on the big screen in the proper format: heaven!
