Well, my new topic under the News section of the forums was deleted (by KingTownTed I think) so I'll post under an older thread that has existed for a month (maybe won't be considered clutter ha ha ); anyways, while folks wait for a new episode of HorrorEtc you can download and listen to the new episode of dark discussions podcast ... a frank darabont retrospect (part 1) ... with Phil and Mister D cohosting. www.darkdiscussions.com and on iTunes (under Dark Discussions Podcast)

Thanks man. Hope you enjoy them. It is fun and an enjoyable little hobby. As Tony and Ted have said, a lot of work but usually well worth it. Now I just got to hope Ted doesn't go all North Korean on me by booting my behind from the forums for promoting it, ha ha ... I don't think he has to worry about me stealing listeners though ha ha ... if anything just another podcast for horror fans to listen to. Been posting on dead lantern and other places too. Will we get more listeners than the handful that we have and who will be the first person to send us an mp3 email attachment for the show? Ted, it could be you, ha ha.

The author of Let the right one in, surely hehe Lundqvist's book Let Me In/Let the Right One In has some things in it that let's just say can't be filmed ... ouch! (on a side note, one thing I talk about is that the book was published in the states first as Let Me In for the Yank audience)

oh I know, Ive read the book and seen both movies. If I remember it right you skipped over a bit of the Hakan peadophile stuff when he finally got caught. It was pretty rough going in the book at times.

It was pretty rough going in the book at times. You may be right. At that point I wanted to round out the Tommy story mainly. Great book through and through though. Tops the movies I think (IMHO).

Another thing I noticed in the book more so than the films, how utterly depressing and awful Oscars life is. With in the first few pages you just felt so bad for him, it was horrible.

The book really was about the disenfranchised rather than anything else ... the vampire story was just the back drop. Lundqvist is an awesome writer.

Going on vacation between 7/27 and 8/3 so releasing this coming sunday's podcast tonight entitled planet of the apes part 2 retrospective with phil and mike discussing the 3 last films in the original series at www.darkdiscussions.com. Will have access to email and the web (just not my web server so why the early release) so I still may be a haunt on the horrorEtc forums during the week away (marriot lobby pc's work for me). Glad Ted was able to release a new podcast tonight for horrorEtc so I can bring it to the beach/airplane.
