Sorry to hear Ted is a believer in the JFK conspiracy (and a slight believer in at least part of the Area 51 conspiracy, it would seem)... too bad. Didn't know that I left the impression I believe there is anything at Area 51 but a military base - just questioned the hows & whys of 'credible' characters speaking out about about extreme things. And JFK - after 50 years of investigations, mountains of studies, and contradicting evidence... I had no idea the answer was so simple. I guess mafioso Jack Ruby was just really patriotic. After doing the podcast for this long I would like to think it's pretty clear I am a skeptic, but it makes for pretty poor broadcasting to just build walls and make guests try to break them down. Just because he was killed (i.e. not necessarily assassinated) by a mafioso, doesn't necessarily mean there was/is a conspiracy behind it. But, needless to say, no disrespect meant to you on that.

Just listened to this episode - very enjoyable to hear all the different theories. The only conspiracy I think could have something behind it is the death of RFK.

Ted, the guy you were trying to think of that worked at Area 51- I think is Bob Lazar. He claimed that ET saucers were kept at the base and that he examined the interior of one. His credibility was damaged though because a lot of the colleges he claimed to have attended declared that he never did. To retaliate to this, he claims they are saying this under government pressure!

"The main thing that I learned about conspiracy theory is that conspiracy theorists actually believe in a conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is chaotic. The truth is, that it is not the Jewish banking conspiracy or the grey aliens or the 12 foot reptiloids from another dimension that are in control. The truth is more frightening, nobody is in control. The world is rudderless." -- Alan Moore
