So turns out the 25th anniversary edition of cannibal holocaust was cut and had none of the animal mutilation scenes.. disappointed, though I somewhat enjoyed the movie and will rewatch when I get an uncut copy.
Currently watching the Basket case trilogy, liked the first, not sure on 2nd.. and have the 3rd still to go.

I've been rewatching old Godzilla kaiju flicks mostly. I also finally saw "Bride Of Frankenstein", "Cat People" (1942), "The Uninvited" (1944), and "Street Trash".

I am now watching a DVD collection mini series show of Edger Allen Poe's tales of mystery and imagination hosted by the Great Christopher Lee. I am getting chills up and down my spine watching these Dramatizations of 11 of Poe's most popular horror stories. Truly the master of the macabre can still pack the same chilling punch as they did when he first wrote them on paper.
Say Does anybody have a fav story of Edger Allen Poe? I know my top favs would be; The masque of Red death, The black Cat, The Raven, The Cask of Amontillado, The Tell tale heart, The Oval Portrait, Ligeia and the poem of Annabelle Lee.

Thanks to Bizarre TV on my Roku box, I've been catching a lot of random film selections. Most recently I watched 'Death Walks at Midnight'. It was okay. Not the best Giallo, not the worst. Nice sharp cinematography, decent music, an alright film to spend the evening with if there's nothing major on your list.

I have just seen Dracula untold when it came to theaters on october 10, and have recently read 'Dracula in love' by Karen Essex.
Dracula untold I enjoyed. When I go see a vampire movie or a Dracula movie, the one big thing that I ask is; 'Bring me something I haven't seen before or show me a new way of retelling the traditional story'. Which in this case this film did. I had a bit of a gut instinct that if Stoker wrote a prequel story for how his vampire became the vampire, this film MIGHT be close to what he might have had in mind. Remember I said MIGHT. Cause I don't know what went on in Stoker's mind or knew the man when he wrote Dracula.
As for Dracula in love....let's just say I won't be reading this book again anytime soon unless I get REALLY bored and want to reread it. It is a good story, but it isn't in my top favs of books involving the vampire King himself. (And I won't say why cause I don't want to give away a spoiler to those that haven't and MIGHT be interested in reading the book.)

Just watched 'Open Water' on demand on my DDR and I have to say that movie had the most disappointing ending in a horror movie I have ever seen. Even for a shark movie that is based on a true story.
This movie had me partly hoping that the couple stranded in the middle of the ocean would survive it but.....GRRR! This movie just ticked me off!
Anybody else seen this flick and feel the same way as I do?

Been getting back into the groove of the child's play series recently. I have heard that there is supposedly a reboot coming out....if that is true I hope brad Dourof reprises his role as Chucky. I can't picture anyone else doing it.
