Did you guys ever play Splatterhouse 2 & 3 on the genesis? They're among the best games ever! I wrote about both on my blog a long time ago and their two of my favorite games. Before I keep gushing I'll let you, if you want, take a look at the big long articles I wrote about these: Here's three and over here is part two. I tried to tease about the storylines instead of the usual spoiler filled talk most people do. For me, Splatterhouse 3 is the game to play. It's got this strange storyline that changes depending on how fast you beat levels. Levels are less straightforward and have you explore floors of a mansion. Plus, you can make your hockey mask guy explode penisis. No, I'm serious about that! The first Splatterhouse was only available on TurboGrafx-16, a system nobody but people way into gaming or that somehow had it recall. While a great game, it's not as easily gotten as 2 & 3 are. There's also a new Splatterhouse game coming out that's probably not going to be as amazing as the old ones. It's switched teams a few times and didn't look great when I saw it. I'll still play it, but I'm doubtful it will live up to the Teddy Bear monster or splatting people into walls.

I actually still have my TurboGraphX system. It came out around the same time as Genesis as one of the first 16-bit systems. I bought it so I could play Splatterhouse. I can remember how cool that seemed at the time. Sega Genesis won that war and I never bought another game system.
