Just thought this might give T&T&SD some useful feedback.
Pick any three choices - if you change your mind, you can change your vote.

Right now, I will say artist retrospectives, franchise/series retrospectives and thematic episodes are ones in particular that I always welcome with fully-open arms. However, if I could vote for two more and make it a top five I'd also have to say both lists and from the hip eps are great listens as well. ... Pretty much, if I could vote for all of the categories, I would.

I picked Artist, Franchise, and Commentary as these are my favorites. Still, I would also like to say that I enjoy every episode, regardless of format. Even the "from the hip" style ones are okay by me. I like to hear about whatever media Tony, Ted, and Sometimes Doug happen to be consuming, and the loose nature of the "Hip" episodes hits me just right.

Franchise retrospectives are great. You can really hear the love (or sometimes utter hate) in their discussions and reminiscences. Those episodes are always enthusiastic without becoming annoying and fanboy-ish.
Also love info-heavy shows (like 3D) or those dealing with more obscure topics and films (silent horror).

I don’t suppose Tony and Ted really think of the show in these terms but I’ve voted for Franchise, Theme and List. Probably thematic episodes are my favourite. The podcast works best for me when the guys have a substantial horror subject to hang the show on, ideally covering something outside of my knowledge (Asian and French horror spring to mind). When it veers into the “Etc” it can leave me a little cold and I’m prone to skipping sections or whole episodes for that reason. Nevertheless, I’m fond of “from the hip” episodes.

I gotta say the artist retrospectives. It's not something I want to hear every single week, but once a month or every other month would be nice.

Hard to say really. I suppose it's the fact that they do them all and mix them up that makes the podcast so great.
Personally one of my favorite episodes, which is strange because I haven't seen any of the films, is the Phantom of the Opera episode. Both Anthony and Ted at the top of their game in terms of knowledge and passion for the subject. So I guess that would count as thematic?

Apparently I'm the first to pick "other," but I really enjoy the "What We've Been Watching" episodes. Or do those come under "From the Hip"?

My other pick is for the episodes that veer into an unexpected direction. By far, one of my favorites was Ted's sudden lambasting of The Happening. Spur of the moment and just brilliant.

That's one of my favorite episodes, especially because of Doug cackling in the background every time Ted starts his rant afresh.
