From The Hollywood Reporter ( Heat Vision)... Sigourney Weaver, who fought a monster queen in "Aliens," will now act as a vampire queen in "Vamps," a romantic horror-comedy from Amy Heckerling. Written by Heckerling, the writer-director behind "Clueless" and "Look Who's Talking," the modern-day story focuses on beautiful young vampires (Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter) who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality. The UTA-repped Weaver, coming off of "Avatar," will play Ciccerus, the bloodthirsty vampire who turned the two ladies into creatures of the night. A late April start is being eyed. Red Hour is producing as well as Lauren Versel of Lucky Monkey Pictures and Molly Hassell. GK Films affiliate Parlay Films is handling foreign sales. www.heatvisionblog.com/2010/03/sigourney-weaver-is-the-queen-in-horrorcomedy-vamps-exclusive.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
