I like the idea of your frequent visits to Italian horror - it'll be interesting to hear whether you can be won over.
I personally like Italian horror a lot, but I can totally see where you're coming from with your criticisms. I'm not sure whether this is one of the Italian Zombie ones you said you'd seen, or whether you've discussed it in the podcast before (new listener here), but I hope you come across Lucio Fulci's 'The Beyond' on your Italian horror journey.
It's probably in my top ten favourite horror movies. It doesn't make much sense, but as a series of beautiful and striking violent and gory images I think it's outstanding, and the score is amazing too.

I cringed during the entire bit about George Romero. Though I did laugh at Tony saying of Survival of the Dead, "Terrible film." Then a few seconds later, "It involves cowboys though, right?"
Silly Tony. ;D
I'm not complaining. This little off topic tirade has given me an excellent idea for an article.

Blind devotion can only be stretched so far

And blinder than Stevie Wonder in a darkroom during a power outage on a moonless night.

If you have a small percentage of such loyalty for horror podcasts all's good.

Another classy episode gents but more importantly Kingstown Ted in a photo!!! this is truly a rare occurence. Nice to see Ted yes, always pictured him as a fatty for some reason (that reason being my unfair stereotypical perception of podcasters in general I think!) I stand happily corrected. Also interesting to see that Tony is black and white in real life.

Personally, I dug this show - I can't imagine how much time was put into editing it.
Jackson's next step will be an interesting one.
Doing a lower budget genre piece would be a good move (like del Toro and Raimi have done), and proving that he's about more than just effects these days.
Haven't see Lovely Bones and can't really comment. I've become pretty senstive to movies where children are harmed/killed - but that's another story.

Oh yeah - I've met Ted, and he's as fit as a fiddle.

Hmmmm. Not sure how to take that. It's best taken as a backhanded compliment coupled with further evidence of my own snobby prejudices

Although, if he was a "fatty" I can't see that that would necessarily be a terrible thing.

I did like the fact that you had a female perspective on the show and had her as the main host. Kristianne seemed to know a lot more on the subject of Peter Jackson than Tony who I assumed had fallen asleep at some point. I've seen the extended versions on the LOTR trilogy plus all the extras on dvd. It does take about three days to watch them but it's worth it. The Gift link was great! Hope they make it into a feature film.

The comments about Survival of the Dead raised my hackles. I don't think I agreed with anything said about that film or Romero, but I think I'll wait to respond when / if you guys review SOTD sober.
On the other hand, I loved your drunken episode. It's great to cut loose and just record while having fun. I think the energy carries through into the final product, as muddy as the final product is.
In no large part due to the addition of a fresh new guest host, I think this is one of your better recent episodes.
