So the first movie was misnamed? Should it have been "The Second-To-Last Exorcism"?

So the first movie was misnamed? Should it have been "The Second-To-Last Exorcism"? 1. It was Cotton's last exorcism, not the last exorcism ever. 2. If they really want to follow up the original film's storyline there is probably no need to have another exorcism.

I thought the movie was great until the end, which i didn't care for. I think a sequel would be great to tie up some of those loose ends.

Like what happened to the priest and the girl to start with...and what became of the crazy satanic cult or the demon baby?

I know that a successful sequel to Paranormal Activity happened, but for some reason, I see this going more the route of Blair Witch 2. I hope they go more into the background of the cult, but I'm curious to see how they could do so if they use the found footage angle. Or will they abandon that?

I enjoyed this film tremendously and was not bothered by the ending, any loose ends, or any ambiguity. All in all, a great little flick.

A movie doesn't need to tie up loose ends to be good, but sequels are always fun. Ambiguity is certainly a "loose end" however there is no necessity to tie them up or make a sequel. But to be honest, there was no necessity to tell the story in this movie to begin with.
