Still working my way through all the back episodes, so forgive me if you guys have already touched on this subject.
One of my favorite discussion topics is "horror novels (or stories) that absolutely should be adapted as films". This leads into casting choices, etc. It's a nice way of discussing favorite novels as well as working film into the mix at the same time. It's also a great way to discuss potential remakes of films adapted from books, but that for one reason or another failed...what would you change to make such a remake better?

I think Chuch Palahniuk's "Lullaby" could be a good movie

I mentioned this book on the Book Club episode, but Bernard Taylor's Sweetheart, Sweetheart could be an amazing movie given the right director. A great, chilling, classical ghost story, with a hint of eroticism and a splash of gore.

Just off the top of my head is Clive Barker's Weaveworld...all the more infuriating as it was once in pre-production limbo many years ago!
Some of Robert McCammon's books would be great as well...Stinger and The Boat (alien invansion & nazi zombies respectively) have some very derivative elements, but McCammon did some interesting things with them.

Would love to see Dead In The West by Joe R. Lansdale made into a movie, or for that matter anything by him would be great. Others titles by him would have to include The Bottoms which could be described as Silence Of The Lambs meets To Kill A Mockingbird and all the Hap and Leonard novels.

Lansdale is one of my favorite writers; he can really spin a tale. His newer stuff seems more "movie friendly" in that it's more linear, less bizarre, and less cruel (though still pretty sadistic in parts).

I would love to see Leather Maiden by Lansdale be a movie ... that would work for sure ... Lost Echoes and Nightrunners would be great too.
