That trailer that came out a while ago was a doozy. Too bad the game doesn't live up to it

Dead Island was one of the games my brother let me have of his, since I asked him to give me all the games that he didn't want anymore.
I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, cause of all of the negative things I have heard about it and also I'm too busy with Skyrim still lol.
Is Dead Island really worth playing?
As far as scary video games are concern I go for games like the Silent Hill stuff, Clock Tower, etc...

I do not think it is a bad game I just cannot get into it but I am not a big gamer, I used to be years ago but I would rather watch a movie these days. It is not scary at all. The last game that made me jump was way back when Half Life was released. Not scary but I really became immersed when playing it.

I have a similar problem getting into games these days. I bought a Wii and bought a few zombie games but when I die, I just quit. I don't have it in me like I did when I was a kid to keep playing and playing until I beat something.

It's a good game, but it reminds me of too many others with the weapon upgrades and side quests. I much prefer a straight on blast their ass splatter-fest like Left For Dead-

A much better game that's actually really scary is Amnesia- The Dark Descent-
