hey guys, I gotta say that I think a Barker episode is needed; I know that Ted's mentioned he's not keen on the Hellraiser flicks but hey, anything past 3 is pretty crappy! That said, the man has had a huge influence on the genre and some of the flicks definitely need some discussion; Candyman is awesome and has soooo much more to it than being just an 'odd ' slasher that it gets labeld as sometimes, especially compared to the story. Its a great example of taking a source text and expanding on it. We had a King episode back in the day so it'd be great to hear the guys' take on Barker's stuff! Hope there's some mutual feelings here?!?!?! :-)

I have to agree - I'm not the biggest Hellraiser fan, but what about Barker's fiction, especially those early ones and the Books of Blood? Obviously he hasn't had the same level of influence as King, but a Barker special would be very welcome.

I think it would be pretty good to cover too. The first Hellraiser and candyman are great films - not sure about anything after that though?
I'm actually reading the books of blood now - up to book 4 at the moment - and they are brilliant! There have been a few films based on the stories haven't there?

With the announcement of a Hellraiser episode coming soon. Might I suggest that Ted and Anthony might find it worthwhile to check out the new comic book series Hellraiser. Unlike the sequels in the film franchise it is completely cannon because it is written monthly by Clive Barker himself. Top quality comics. And if I might tease a little Pinhead does an about face and no longer is Pinhead.Theres a new cenobite priest that takes his place. Someone from his past. Its really good stuff and you get to see exactly what Barker imagined for these characters without the crap sequels. Its only up to issue 15. Highly reccomend.
