Anyone play this? I used to play it back in the 80s, and when I came across a 21st century reprint, I eagerly bought it... and it's as fecking brilliant as I always remember it was! Players take the part of shadowy groups who are, you know, behind things, like the Servants of Cthulhu, the UFOs, the Gnomes off Zurich etc. and they bid for world domination by taking over other groups ranging from the Federal Reserve, the CIA, Oil Companies down to Science Fiction Fans, the Boy Sprouts (sic) and Convenience Stores. It plays fast, has tons of humour and presents genuinely interesting strategic challenges. If you look on Youtube for "Illuminati game", you'll find loads of nutters who believe the game itself is a tool of the Illuminati, and that its earlier, trading-card game incarnation predicted 9/11 (and a nuclear attack on the London 2012 Olympics). Published by Steve Jackson games, it's well worth a go.
