I've been watching a lot of Asian horror movies lately. Mostly Japanese stuff. If you stray off the beaten path, it gets really crazy. Check out this website, if you can. I was super excited about Japanese horror after The Ring and The Grudge and that whole wave of Japanese horror...unfortunately they haven't been able to sustain the momentum.
I did see some things I really liked like the Tommie series and Uzumaki, but even those were at least 5 years ago. Everything I've seen recently is like Machine Girl or Tokyo Gore Police...which were fun, but not exactly what I loved about Japanese horror.
I know Korean horror has been pretty popular but I just can't get into Korean movies for whatever reason. I do love The Host though, and am pretty excited there is a sequel coming out this year.

I do love Aian horror/cinema and some i would reccomend are: The Chaser EXTE (Hair Extensions) X-CROSS Horrors of malformed men Mother 13 Game of death Hansel and Gretal Dead Sushi I saw the devil Ju-On White Ghost/Black Ghost I shall have a think of some more and post them up. Happy Hunting!  |
