Hello to everyone!!!! found this podcast because I'm massive John Carpenter fan.. I'm working my way through all 200+ casts....
Anyhoo have the guys ever mentioned Demons (aka Demoni).. This is one of the craziest freaking movies I've ever seen.. Ok I'll just mention a few movies/books/authors which helped me fall in love with the genre.. Demons 1&2, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Brian Keene, Richard Matherson, Tales From The Crypt, Night/Dawn/Day/Land of the Dead, 28 Days/Weeks later.. Everything by John Carpenter THE THING 1982.. ahhh I give up gotta watch episode 12 of AHS..
Oh remake of Amytiville Horror was poo

Hello fellow Londoner!
I kinda agree with your selections (though I've always been ambivalent about King as a writer); RIchard Matheson has had such a monumental impact on modern culture it cannot be understated, and The Thing remains the closest that HP Lovecraft has ever come to entering the mainstream.
