More feedback anyone? As promised, we have continued our effort to catch up on the voicemail feedback from the podcast community. Anthony and Ted riff on the subjects brought to the table by listeners which provided a great mix of subjects both new and old. This week we chat about Peter Cushing, Stephen King's TV mini-series adaptations, classic re-releases (Indy, Jaws, Jurassic Park), HP Lovecraft, the tiresome Paranormal Activity franchise, The return of The Walking Dead and the lazy writing trick of artificially muting characters (I mean, just talk Michonne!). But wait, there's still more - looking back at Hellraiser one more time, an interesting consiracy theory encountered by a former guest host of the podcast, some recommendations from a fellow podcaster including Absentia and Midnight Son, and an issue of debate: we are taken to task for our appreciation of The Innkeepers. All this and some recent watched including Warm Bodies (yep), and the classic Horror Express. Thanks again to everyone who lends their voice to the show and helps to make this such a great community. As always, please don't hesistate to drop us a line anytime. So now that we have done some housecleaning, let's get back to some great horror themed subjects shall we? Tombs of the Blind Dead series coming soon... As always we welcome your comments: horroretc@gmail.com Voicemail (206) 337-5324

yggy's conspiracy theory may be bonkers, but it is not unique; I'm pretty sure it was started by Richard Hoagland (the "face on Mars" guy), who believes in things a lot weirder than that.

No, it's most definitely not unique. It's been pretty big among the UFO community. I just think it's crazier than all get out.

A few random thoughts...
- To be fair Ted, "Warm Bodies" is PG-13, not PG, is based on a novel so it wasn't exactly a total cash-in on the "Twilight" phenomena, and does not involve any of the producers of "Twilight" (just the mini-studio that released those movies, obviously).
Also, it should be noted that writer/director Jonathan Levine helmed the underseen (mostly due to its long-delayed/troubled U.S. release which has yet to happen) 2006 slasher "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane."
- A quick factoid I thought you might find interesting if you hadn't noticed it: Pat Healy, who played Sara Paxton's friend/partner in ghostbusting Luke in "The Inkeepers," also played "Officer Daniels" in "Compliance."
- Although I very much agree that "Paranormal Activity 4" was weak/the weakest of the entire series thus far and that the mythology isn't gaining much steam and starting to feel played out, I disagree that Oren Peli and Co. don't care anymore about the series.
Yes, they are hugely profitable and that is a driver in the higher ups at Paramount above Oren and the producers wanting to continue to make them, but I think they really do believe in the story they are telling. Unfortunately, many (myself included) are feeling that it is not going as well as they may think it is and it's probably about time to either end things with a hopefully satisfying enough of a conclusion (my preferred option), or make a non-sequel-sequel and take things in a new/different direction.
