Scary Gary digs deep and recognizes the death of poor Mabel in the laundromat and no, she did not die of a heart attack as the Sheriff told everyone. Speaking of the Sheriff, that is Canadian actor Don Francks and he was not in the 1980 film Alligator. It may be the only movie he WASN"T in. His career started in 1954 and he is still working today, he is currently in the Netflix series Hemlock Grove. He has done a ton of voice work from the voice of Bubba Fett in the Star Wars Christmas Special to Inspector Gadget and Heavy Metal. Quite an impressive career. xTrailbyfirex, you may have been thinking of Robert Forster and based on the picture below and I can understand. They are almost identical:
