I had gone with my mother to go see Crimson Peak on it's midnight release and we both enjoyed it. And also thought that there was more going on then what we had just seen. And I mean like we felt that there might be a director's cut of this film. And knowing Guillermo del Toro, there might be. Especially considering that he has been working on this film since his master piece Pan's Labyrinth.
Either way I still love this film and it is something rare that I don't think has been brought up in a long time of horror films. Gothic Romance Ghost stories aren't done that much these days. The only other film I can think of that might be close to it, at least Ghost story wise, is The lady in white from 1988 starring Lukas Haas.
Have you guys?
