The Star Wars universe seems to have a wild west feel to it in certain ways; its as if a person who wanted to get lost and avoid the empire and the rebellion could if they wanted to. The Star Trek universe seems "smaller" somehow; it seems no matter how far you go you would always have some bureaucratic drone in a skin-tight jumpsuit looking over your shoulder.

I'd say, "Tell that to the good people of Alderaan," but I can't. They've been blown to smithereens by the Death Star! Insensitive bastard!

Star Wars? Are you kidding me? That's one of the most dangerous universes ever! They let small children play with freaking light sabers! They don't put guard rails on narrow walkways half a mile in the air! You know that deformed doctor who confronts Luke in the Canteena? Know how he got that scar? Lawn darts. Still legal on Tatooine.
Give me a world with hot and cold running food synthesizes, green slave women, and incision free surgery.
