Yea I know you don't, but now you know where people are seeing it. You'll just have to wait a little while longer for the DVD release.

saw it. really dug it. i do bootlegs... dont judge me I'm not, though I reallydislike piracy. In a case like this, where the film is generally inaccessable to those who don't live in NY and LA, I can at least sympathize. But I know myself. And if I allow myself an exception in this case,I will rationalize myself into breaking my "no bootleg" rule far more often. Since this will be on DVD within the next 12 months, I can wait.

Finally caught it thanks to XBox Live, on which it is available for download.
Have to add this to the ever growing list of awesome sequels, even if it is not quite so awesome as the first film.
It has been called "Aliens" to REC's "Alien" and that's not such a bad comparison, though the scale has not been exploded quite so much. This time the characters tend to be more proactive than reactive. In the first film, they didn't know what was going on (even if the audience did, or thought they did), but this time they are clued in very fast. But we all learn the truth is much worse than what we suspected from REC (And on this I disagree with the Captain, if I understand his Looney Tunes metaphor - they didn't conjure up a last minute escape hatch here; the "truth" behind the infection was built upon groundwork laid in part 1). So... where was I? Oh yes. The main characters here are well aware of what is in the building and what is causing it. They are not simply trying to survive, but fulfill a mission. This undercuts most of the mystery and some of the dread of the first film, but it definately opens the REC storyline up to much wider possibilities than, say, 28 __ Later.
The film isn't quite perfect - I never cared as much about the characters, and the 3rd act camera gimmick, while cleverly justified, is still a gimmick, and one that feels more at home in a video game than a film. However, none of that is enough to undercut the solid direction, pacing and atmosphere of a top notch horror flick.
REC is easily the better of the two films, but if you've seen it, REC2 is a worthy follow up - and one that will make you want to rewatch REC (not Quarrantine) as well to see how the new events alter the first film.
Lastly, I want to note that there is more REC in the pipeline - a pRECuel for 2011, showcasing how the infection began, and a (hopefully) final RECpocalypse for 2012 (following the events of REC2).
The apocalypse is the one I am more interested in - the prequel... maybe it will work, but I think I know all I need to at this point. I'd be fine if they let the backstory be filled in by a DVD extra.

Cinema 21 is the only one so far. It's up in the NW district, around 21st and Pettygrove. The theater also brought in The Human Centipede for a late night run a few months ago.
As of today, their website hadn't posted show times. You can check there, or keep your eyes on my blog. I'll be posting the times as soon as they are announced.
Hope to see you there!

Depending on how late it is and if I can find anyone to tag along, I definitely would love to be able to catch it on a big screen.
